Description Asclepias incarnata (White) Swamp Milkweed. A stout, densely branched perennial which has long, thin, willow-like leaves to 15cm long, densely placed around the stems in opposite pairs. In autumn the leaves turn gold. Clusters of vanilla scented, white blooms are borne from July to September which are loved by butterflies. Grows best in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. A late riser in spring, it is hardy even during the worst of winters. It will reach a height of 1-1.2m.
